Here we are, in Bournemouth, ready to compete tomorrow. We are last on.
what an amazing trip we had to the Scottish Borders to sing with our sister chorus, One Accord. We learnt Lazy Day together, and put on a show for friends and family in the evening, which was followed by a meal.
Sunday we were surprised by a piper, and some impromptu dancing. I have created a Flickr account with more photo’s, search for spirit of the south.
We have had a challenging evening learning our song Lazy Day, or as we bass’ call it, the “bah bah dah” song. We are learning this for our trip to Scotland in two weeks, to re- join our sister chorus, One Accord. We will attempt to sing this as one chorus…
Friday 29th April saw us race to Fareham for the annual music festival. We sang The Rose, A Huron Carol, a beautiful old indian song and Hey Soul Sister. We had lovely comments about listening to each other to present a lovely blended choral sound, and a merit for our efforts! Well done, Spirit of the South.
